I've been running a weekly AI Playground for several months, and I also wrote a book and used AI to help and it turned out great.
I put together an in depth course on using AI to help write books (13 90min modules) and offered it for sale to my facebook and some founder whatsapp groups.
I filled it up in a few days with people paying $1k - $2,500 and everyone has loved it. Therapists, founders, coaches, creatives, former marines.. people are writing books they've only dreamed about doing. It's really cool. I structured it like a college course and even recruited my dad who was a dean of education to oversee the curriculum creation.
This course was live, but the majority of people just watched the replays, so I want to offer the library of recordings, prompts, guides, etc. (over 20 hrs of content) and access to live weekly office hours.
I'd like to find a person or partner who understands how to scale enrollment of this course somehow -- either through ads or JVs, etc.
A mentor suggested I find someone who is good at scaling profitable things to partner with.
Open to intros, ideas, insights!
How did you reach your current customers? Any way to expand that? Are there additional services/products to offer, the existing customers?
Where is your current course? Would enjoy seeing it.
I developed an iOS course and used udemy. Only netted $40K before the course was made obsolete by apple’s Swift language being created.
You could add your course to udemy… for reach.
But, I would recommend adding a slimmed down version of your course on udemy… for free. Collect their emails… required to download ‘course materials’. Then market your full course… not hosted on udemy.
Do the same thing on youtube. Obviously, x.com/ticktock is good for word of mouth and reach.
But, udemy will get you a lot of signups…
It is disturbing how little margin is given to creators… i think I made 10%-15% of the sticker price of the course… b/c udemy will significantly discount and bundle your course with other courses.
I recommened join buildclub.ai for a community that might have an answer for you or to find that partner.
There is a Slack there, and you can ask in there for advice or collaboration. Reach out to the club founder too.
Also please I hope you also teach people good writing sans-ai and just use ai for the productivity boost.
We need good writers more than ever. Writing is thinking.
