That being said I think comparing Apple’s Thunderbolt 4 cable to USB 2 cables and calling the others “imitations” is very biased and totally misses the point. Apple’s $130 cable follows TB4 specs, while cheaper cables often follow USB standards. A fair test would compare Apple’s cable to a $60 TB4 cable from brands like Cable Matters or Anker, then compare Apple’s $19 USB-C phone cable to other USB cables.
